Our Program

Montessori believed the first six years of life mark a time of tremendous physical and psychological growth, exploration, and development. Also, human are capable of learning more at this stage than at any other. This was the period Montessori described as the time of absorbent mind, when young children are capable of absorbing huge amounts of information about the environment through their senses.

Little Jamboree Playgroup and Kindergarten aim to provide stimulated environment that enables children to explore more during their sensitive periods. Our Montessori prepared environment is designed to give children space and time where they can concentrate, find and replace things easily, and make positive activity choices.

Children works in Montessori prepared environment:

•    Practical Life enhance the development of task organization and cognitive order through care of self, care of the environment, exercises of grace and courtesy, and coordination of physical movement.

•   The Sensorial area enables the child to order, classify, and describe sensory impressions in relation to length, width, temperature, mass, colour, pitch, etc.

•     Mathematics makes use of manipulative materials to enable the child to internalize concept of number, symbol, sequence, operations, and memorization of basic facts.

•     Language Arts includes oral language development, written expression, reading, the study of grammar, creative dramatics, and children’s literature. Basic skills in writing and reading are developed through the use of sandpaper letters, alphabet cut-outs, and various presentations allowing children to link sounds and letter symbols effortlessly and to express their thoughts through writing.

•      Cultural Activities expose the child to basics in geography, history, and life sciences. Music, art and movement education are part of the integrated cultural curriculum.

Worksheet activity

The lessons are given through group presentation using Montessori apparatus and the worksheet activity are given after presentation. We build children’s responsibility and ability to enhance their works cycle.

Bahasa Indonesia

We introduce Bahasa Indonesia starting Kindergarten level. This program includes Pra-Keaksaraan/ Keaksaraan Awal.
